The Notifier AFP-3030 is the large-panel member of Notifier’s ONYX Series — Honeywell’s intelligent, modular fire alarm platform for medium-to-large and large networked facilities. Two technologies define the platform. The AFP-3030 is a modular FACP configured per project around the CPU2-3030 central processor, one to ten signalling line circuits, and a wide menu of voice, annunciation, networking and detection options. It is built for large and networked facilities and field-programmable from the panel itself.
The CPU2-3030 ships as a display version (with the 640-character LCD and QWERTY keypad) or a displayless network-node version. Loops are added with LCM-320 loop control modules (each providing one SLC) and LEM-320 loop expander modules — up to five LCMs and five LEMs for ten SLCs. The panel runs FlashScan devices natively and also supports older devices in CLIP mode.

The 951-series FlashScan detectors connect to the SLC and share a common low-profile design and base architecture, with bicolour status LEDs and selectable ONYX sensitivity. Ivory (-IV) models support CLIP as well as FlashScan; “A” suffix models are ULC-listed.

VIEW high-sensitivity — the FSV-951 VIEW (Very Intelligent Early Warning) detector uses advanced ONYX algorithms to differentiate smoke from non-smoke signals at high sensitivity, while pinpointing the fire location through addressable operation — bridging the gap between standard point detection and aspirating systems.
Beam detection — the FS-OSI-RI addressable single-ended (reflective) optical beam smoke detector protects large open volumes such as atria, warehouses and halls. It offers fast alignment with directional LED arrows and long-range coverage of 16–328 ft (5–100 m) as standard, with no separate long-range kit.
VESDA-E aspirating — for the highest-sensitivity and concealed/high-airflow applications, intelligent VESDA-E aspirating detectors connect directly to the SLC loop of compatible ONYX panels and appear as addressable points. Because VESDA-E connects on the SLC, aspirating zones are managed and annunciated identically to point detectors, and the FMM-4-20 module additionally allows FM-approved gas detection via 4–20 mA gas sensors.

The AFP-3030 provides both conventional notification (via control modules / NAC power) and a tightly integrated digital voice and mass-notification system through the Digital Voice Command (DVC / DVC-EM):
For areas where cabling is impractical — heritage buildings, temporary installations, hard-to-reach spaces — the AFP-3030 supports SWIFT (Smart Wireless Integrated Fire Technology), a self-healing mesh wireless protocol. Wireless detectors and modules connect through the FWSG (SWIFT gateway) on the SLC: each gateway supports up to 49 SWIFT devices, and up to four gateways can be installed with overlapping coverage. Wireless devices retain FlashScan/ONYX behaviour and are managed and annunciated identically to wired devices, enabling mixed wired/wireless designs.
Beyond the 640-character panel display, the AFP-3030 supports a full range of remote annunciation on the EIA-485 annunciator bus and over the network.
Up to 32 ACS address points (64 or 96 points each) are supported per CPU, and remote LCD/graphic annunciators can be mounted up to ~6,000 ft from the panel.

NOTI·FIRE·NET is Notifier’s peer-to-peer fire network connecting AFP-3030 panels, annunciators and workstations into a distributed, supervised system. It operates as a high-speed network supporting up to 200 nodes (N16e/x, NFS2-3030/NFS2-640, NFS-320, NCD, NCA-2, DVC-EM, ONYXWorks and others), or a standard network of up to 103 nodes that also supports legacy panels (AFP-200, AFP-300/400, AM2020 etc.).
Connections are made with Network Communication Modules — NCM-W (wire) and NCM-F (fibre), or high-speed HS-NCM modules that connect two nodes over wire, single-mode fibre, multi-mode fibre or media conversion. Standard-network repeaters (RPT-W/F/WF) extend reach; point-to-point wire runs reach up to ~3,000 ft (914 m) between nodes, with fibre for longer spans. The result scales from a single panel to a large, redundant multi-building network on a common toolset.
