ABN (Australian Business Number)

An 11-digit number that identifies your business to the government and on invoices.

An ABN is a unique 11-digit identifier for your business. You need one to register for GST, and you must show it on your tax invoices. If you don’t quote an ABN when invoicing another business, the payer is generally required to withhold 47% of the payment and send it to the ATO.
