Call-out fee

A fixed charge for attending a job, separate from the labour and materials.

A call-out fee covers the cost of getting to site — travel, vehicle and the time to attend — and is charged on top of labour and materials. It’s common for emergency and after-hours work, where attending itself has a real cost.
