Staff Scheduling

Plan the day, then dispatch it.

Live Dispatch puts every technician on one board. Drag work into their day, or let the auto-assign planner propose a plan around leave, hours and travel, then send it to their phones with one tap.

Staff Scheduling in traqR

One board, a lane per tech

Every technician’s day on an hour timeline, with each job shown as done, in progress, scheduled or running late.

Drag to assign

Drop work from the unassigned tray onto a lane. It snaps to the quarter hour and warns you if it double books anyone.

Auto-assign planner

Plan a day or the rest of the week in seconds, around leave, weekly hours, clashes and travel. Nothing changes until you apply it.

Dispatch when you’re ready

Plan quietly, then press Dispatch. Techs get a push notification and accept or decline the shift in the field app.

Problems flagged for you

Double bookings and jobs running late surface in a Needs attention list, one click from the tech’s day.

Day, week, map and leave

Switch between the dispatch board, a week at a glance, each crew’s stops on a map, and a leave approval queue.

How it works

From an empty day to a crew on the road

Live Dispatch is built around how a fire services office actually runs the day: see who is free, place the work, check it makes sense, then send it out.

Every technician’s day on one screen

The Day view gives each technician a lane on an hour timeline. Every job sits in its lane with the site and its state, and a now line shows where the day is up to. The header tells you how many techs are out, and filter chips narrow the board to crews on site, driving, idle or running late.

Status at a glance

Jobs show as done, in progress, scheduled or late, worked out from each booking against the clock, so the board reads like the day is going.

Gaps you can see

Short gaps between jobs are drawn as travel time, so you can spot a day that is too tight or has room for one more.

Find anything fast

Search techs, sites and jobs, and zoom from the whole day down to a few hours with drag to pan.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

No. The planner only proposes. Its plan shows as dashed blocks you can keep, drop or pin, and nothing is saved until you press apply. Applying also does not dispatch, so technicians are not told about anything until you press Dispatch.

It estimates driving time from the distance between each site’s location and uses that to make sure every job is reachable in time and to prefer plans with less driving. It is an estimate rather than live traffic, and where a site has no location on file the plan tells you the driving for it is a guess.

traqR does not track technicians’ live location. The map shows each tech’s stops for the day in order, and a job’s pin turns green when the technician checks in on site, so you can see who has arrived without anyone being followed around.

When you dispatch it. You can plan and rearrange the day as much as you like first. Once dispatched, each technician gets a push notification and the shift waits in their Pending tab to accept or decline.

Leave requests are approved or declined in the Leave tab. The planner never books anyone on approved leave or someone marked unavailable for the week, and dragging work onto someone who is away shows a warning.

Yes. When the planner builds a day, subcontractor staff are only ever given work their company has been assigned to, so their crews never pick up your other jobs by accident.
